Julia Fitzgerald McGlannan

Julia Fitzgerald McGlannan, has been with McGlannan School over 20 years and has been the Administrative Director of the school since 2008. In 1999 she joined the school’s administrative staff and was mentored for more than ten years under the direct tutelage of Frances McGlannan. Julia McGlannan graduated cum laude from the University of Miami’s school of nursing. She is also a nurse practitioner and holds a Masters of Nursing Science degree from Barry University. In addition to her years with McGlannan School, she has more than twenty years of nursing experience in the areas of medical/surgical nursing, critical care, health care administration, health care risk management and as a community outreach instructor in first aid and basic life support.

Cindy Rudin

Cindy Rudin, Foundation Vice President, is a former Director of Admissions for McGlannan School and was with McGlannan School for 38 years. Prior to being Director of Admissions, she was a McGlannan classroom teacher, clinical reading instructor and then a middle school division director for 17 years. She has a degree in Varying Exceptionalities which includes learning disabilities and behavior/emotional disorders. She maintains her certification and has been a guest lecturer for professional educators.

Elizabeth B. Whalen

Elizabeth B. Whalen, Foundation Secretary, has experience in public relations and marketing through a position with Chevron USA, South Eastern Division. Former volunteer leadership positions within the community include: Chairman and member of Executive Committee Junior Coalition of Miami, past member of Executive Committee Junior League and Young Patroness of the Opera, past Chairman of the Bath and Surf Club Cotillion Committees and Debutante Ball Committee Chairman. She is also a past member of the Board of Directors of the Miami Heart Research Institute.

Denise Bamonte

Denise Bamonte, Foundation Treasurer, is the Business Office Administrator of McGlannan School. She has over twenty years of experience in the South Florida banking industry, including State of Florida Bank Examiner, Assistant Branch Manager, Loan Review Officer, Internal Audit Manager and Loan Operations Specialist.

Michael T. Fay

​Michael T. Fay, an alumnus of McGlannan School, is a Principal and Managing Director of Avison Young, a global commercial real estate firm. Michael has over 31 years of commercial real estate experience and specializes in investment sales, as well as strategy and implementation for large national corporate real estate accounts. He works with institutional and local owners, private investors, lenders, special servicers, REITs, hedge funds, national and local banks, insurance companies, major automotive dealerships, bankruptcy courts and commercial debt restructuring firms. He is a member of the Orange Bowl Committee and a board member for several organizations including AvMed Community Advisory Board and HistoryMiami.

Curt Rosner

​Curt Rosner is a Partner with the accounting firm of EisnerAmper LLP. He has more than 35 years of serving as a tax and business advisor to professional firms, businesses and entrepreneurial individuals. He has significant experience in complex tax planning and assisting businesses with strategic planning for growth, improved operational efficiencies, enhanced profitability as well as general corporate planning. Curt has specialized expertise in the health care industry serving medical groups, individual physicians, ambulatory surgery centers, DME companies and hospital systems with a spectrum of consulting services. He also provides valuation services in connection with estate tax planning and compliance, charitable giving, gifting, shareholder agreements, and mergers and acquisitions. He serves as a board member for several local not-for-profit health care organizations.

Charles S. Sacher, Esq.

Charles S. Sacher, Esq. is a shareholder with the law firm of Sacher, Martini & Sacher, P.A. His practice is concentrated in the areas of trusts, estates, guardianships, related tax planning and administration. He serves on local and statewide Florida Bar committees and is a board member for several other organizations.

Mitch Lazar

​Mitch Lazar is an alumnus of McGlannan School and currently heads up strategic partnerships for Two Roads Hospitality, one of largest lifestyle luxury hotel management companies acquired by Hyatt in 2018. Previously, Mitch spent eight years building and growing start-up businesses in the education, media and technology sectors forging marketing and distribution deals that focused on customer acquisition and customer loyalty. Prior to this, Mitch spent nearly five years at Yahoo! as Managing Director of Yahoo! Mobile in Europe and 12 years at AOL Time Warner and Turner Broadcasting, leading the company's global wireless initiatives. He was an early pioneer in digital media and one of the founders of CNN.com where he created and launched CNN Mobile in 1997 taking CNN's mobile business from text to video. He later rolled out Cartoon Network mobile services around the globe. Mitch serves in board advisory, mentorship and executive coaching roles. A native of Miami, Florida, Mitch is a graduate of the University of Missouri School of Journalism with an emphasis in computer science. He began his career as a journalist in South Korea and then at CNN in Atlanta.
